How do board games implement teamwork?

Have you ever played a board game and got on teams with another person? And sometimes it just happens you just have that person that you look out for within the game. In this week’s blog post I will talk about how board games use teamwork and how it is implemented within them. The purpose of a board game that has teamwork weaved into its rulebook is to show you that you have to work together to win this game weathers it’s 2 vs. 2 or you are all working together to complete a game such as my board game pandemic. These types of board games also help bring people together as most boardgames do however, in this particular board game you are put with other people and you can essentially when or lose the game together.

There are also several benefits from playing games such as these you are forced to work with others and help them as well as you keep yourselves afloat to win the game. It can also have you to meet others that you probably wouldn’t have played a regular board game with where everyone can play for themselves. During the pandemic boardgames that incorporate teamwork were a big hit as all of us were inside and not able to do much.

  1. I love that you did you blog post on this topic because these findings are important to implement in our own board games. I believe that games that allow people to join teams is a great way to help many people that may often struggle to communicate to be encouraged to socialize and to discover that they actually like it! I love the idea of board games bringing people together and helping to form relationships.

  2. Wow! I really love your topic! I only really like boardgames if there are teams because it makes it a bit more fun. You get a person to help you win and can count on to help you out. I especially enjoy playing team games with newer friends while you are in that "awkward phase" of the friendship where you are trying to have just enough fun bonding experiences to call them your friend. Sometimes a team board game is just what you need to push an acquaintance into friend status.
